For the Love of Pink... Happy Birthday Gill!!

Welcome!!

First off... HAPPY CANADA DAY everyone! I love my country and I love the red & white!

Today we are hopping For the Love of Pink... but really its for Gill's birthday! Be sure to send her some love...

Happy Birthday Gill!!!

I hope you came here from Lynne's blog, but if not, go see Gill and start at the top!

So this week Gill picked the fabulous theme of pink! Those who know me know I am not really a pink lover, so I really challenged myself to use only pink on this project. Whew! I think I'm done with pink for a few weeks...

The digi I used is Glinda by Sherri Baldy from Scrapbook Stamp Society. She is totally cute, and I colored her with my Copics. The papers were quite the hunt, I truly don't have a lot of pink paper! I used some Momenta and MME papers that I found, the Momenta is actually the reverse side of some party cardstock! I added some K&Co and random stickers as well.

I also wanted to share with you my new pink nail polish! I got it at Old Navy just today and it matches my new board shorts perfectly, and my new Canada Day flip flops... (excuse the ugly feet, and the bad paint job, I painted them while we were driving)

Gill - thanks so much for inspiring me to go pink, and hope you are having the best birthday ever!!!

Thanks for popping by, and now you need to go visit Dandy and check out her pink project!

I love Momenta!

So, I got this cute new stack from Momenta this month, called Family Outings. It is just the cutest. The "themey" papers are all about things you do with your family, like camping, theme parks, etc. But the best thing about this stack is the matching papers to go with it, and the cardstock as well! You get both colored cardstock and generic patterned papers, plus the themed papers you know and love Momenta for, all in one super pack.

The pack is PA-2328, and I used it to create this LO!

All the papers are from the same Momenta pack, and then I added some stitching using my Sew Easy, some buttons, some glitter flowers, Thickers, and this gorgeous big butterfly!

The butterfly is also Momenta from ST-4994 Traditional Butterflies, these come in a pack of 7 or 8 and are stacked layers of plastic to give them good dimension paired with a light feel. I am not sure why I ordered these, I never use butterflies. But since getting them, I have already used two, and I want to order another package or two because I love them THAT MUCH! This is a MUST HAVE product in my mind because of the sheer beauty. The butterflies are all realistic and sooo gorgeous! You can see another one here on the Momenta blog.

Another Fairy Day Blog Hop

Hi!

Welcome to my blog!! Today we are celebrating National Fairy Day!

This fabulous hop will feature gorgeous fairy creations from many artists!

Thanks for stopping by! You should have come from Leslie's blog, but if not, head on over and visit Gill to start off the hop.

Here is my fairy project:

The gorgeous digi used is Shades of Green by Morgan Fitzsimons from Scrapbook Stamp Society. I colored her with my Copics. The stamp is a PSA Essentials, the 3-1/4" size I think. The cardstocks are DCWV and Bazzill. The pp is Momenta from PA-2328 and the butterfly is also Momenta from ST-4994.

This butterfly is fabulous, you get 7-8 in the package and they are all multiple layered plastic and look fabulous! I have to order a few more packets because I think you could make something gorgeous to hang in your window with them, with the sun shining through!!

Thank-you so much for visiting and please head on over to Katherine's blog!

Happy National Fairy Day!!

Lil Rock Star

Check out  the cutest little rock star around, Baby Addie Rock Star from Scrapbook Stamp Society.

She is just way too cute, and is great for both birthday and general cards like hello and congrats!

This is a really simple card to make. I masked off the yellow area, and then used Black Soot distress ink to make the murky darkness behind her, so she looked spotlighted. I used a cut and emboss punch to make the tin foil stars, which I then painted with some pewter crackle paint to add texture and strength. The banner is from Momenta, and I just added some stickers for the letters and star.
Finally, I colored Addie. Her hair is Y13, Y15, Y17 and R32, R35. I also used the R32 on her bows, and the Y17 on the lights and star. Her eyes are B00 and B02, and her dress is a bunch of Ts - 3,5,6,8. Her skin is E000 and E00 with R20 for blush and R22 for lipstick.
And here's close up of our little rock star!

Hope you're inspired to try making a rock star card with our little rocker!

I have entered her in the following challenges:
Crafty Ann's - its a girl thing
Crafty Catz - embossing for my embossed stars :)
Hot Shot Crafts - distress inks
Joyful Stamper Inspire Me Fridays - Anything goes
Aud Sentiments - child's birthday
Crop Stop - banners/pennants
Paper Crafting journey - hand colored image

Til next time,
~T

Father's Day Blog Hop

Good morning, today at the Scrapbook Stamp Society we are having a blog hop to get you inspired for Father's Day!

If you have arrived here from Lou then you are on the right track to continue but if you have just arrived here from blogger land and would like to hop along with us then please start back at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Blog.

For today I have created a card for my Dad. He loves koi fish and gold fish and really any sort of fish. We bought him an aquarium one year for Christmas, and I think that is one of his favourite gifts. When I saw this fabulous digi Koi Fish #13 by Kim L Pipkin I knew I had to use it for my dad.

I colored the image using Copics, and added Glossy Accents to the eyes and the fins on the fish for some drame.

Thanks for hopping and now please hop on over to Nataliya!

Thanks for visiting and please pop back again soon!
